A sought after look amongst clients, Limed Oak flooring shows off the natural grain of the wood and lends itself to both traditional and contemporary settings.
White wood flooring has a number of different influences. In addition to the appearance created through the historical use of liming (used to protect and preserve wood rather than for aesthetics), Scandinavian flooring has been influential, as have interiors favouring a distressed look, often featuring white floorboards. Different sources of inspiration lead to varying client preferences and expectations for white Oak flooring: some favour a very subtle, barely there whitewashed effect, whilst others want something approaching a semi opaque finish.
